Domain from Weebly to WordPress
-
I want to make it so that .wordpress does not appear in the domain name and I currently own alexandradaviephotography.com through Weebly and want to know how to transfer it over.
I am currently linking the Weebly domain to the wordpress site but I want it so that it doesn’t just transfer over to the .wordpress site but that it is primarily hosted at alexandradaviephotography.com.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It looks like you have almost everything set up! The last piece to the puzzle would be to set the custom domain as the primary domain here:
https://alexandradaviephotography.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
Then, users will only see alexandradaviephotography.com moving forward. Can you give that a shot?

Is says there is a direct loop! I think it is because the two domains point back to each other and don’t end anywhere.

It doesn’t look like the name servers are pointed to WordPress.com just yet:
http://who.is/whois/alexandradaviephotography.com
It looks like they’re still set to point to Register.com. Are you able to change them to point to WordPress.com? Instructions can be found here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Then, we’ll want to change the primary domain on your account here:
https://alexandradaviephotography.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
That might produce a redirect. However, it’s likely just a caching issue in the browser. Clearing your cache should resolve the issue. Steps to do that can be found here:
Can you give those steps a try?
