Domain from wordpress

  Hi all,

  I’ve just set up an account with wordpress and my site address is http://itowa.wordpress.com/

  If I buy a domain called irishtugofwar.com with wordpress and map it…then will my website now have the address http://tugofwarireland.com/
  If not then what will it be?

  My question was not answered in that thread. Basically what I am asking is…is the user name dropped from the URL? I know that wordpress.com will be replaced with mydomain.com but is the user name also dropped for the URL?

  Your custom domain would change to irishtugofwar.com/, not to itowa.irishtugofwar.com/
