Domain has a transfer lock that I opted out of

  I’m in the process of transferring a domain to another registrar and it’s saying on my account now: “Due to recent contact information updates, this domain has a transfer lock that expires on 24 September 2019.”

  I don’t understand why this is when I opted out of the 60-day lock! Please help as it’s a matter of urgency.

  Hi there,

  I see you made a change to your contact info on 26 July, but based on our logs you didn’t opt out of the 60-day lock.

  Good news is you should be able to remove it by making another update.

  Please make a change to your first or last name – just add/remove a letter – and make sure to check the box to opt out of the lock. Then the lock should be lifted.

  Let us know if that doesn’t work.
