Domain has expired – I want to buy it, but not through wordpress

  My wordpress site and domain has expired this week. I am building a new site with squarespace, and even though my http://www.jannkesbycom domain has expired, I can’t seem to re-buy it without buying it through wordpress. Does anyone know when it will become available on general domain sale sites? I want to keep it, but want my site with squarespace. Any insight appreciated. Thank you
