Domain Has Expired Not Showing Up in Manage Purchases

    Hello my domain has expired and it is in the Redemption period, but no longer showing up in my account under Manage Purchases. How do I get it back under my Manage Purchases so I can pay the $80 and renew it?

    Hi –

    I can see that http://www.madame-ostrich.com is in redemption. Is this the domain in question?

    In order to recover the domain from redemption we will need the help of our domain partner. They charge an $80 fee for this service. Please write back to me here and confirm that you’ll agree to that fee. It is in addition to the annual renewal of $26, so the total bill is going to be $106.

    Once I hear back I’ll get things started by contacting our domain partner. Typically it only takes us 2-3 days to hear back from them with a status update. You’ll also get an email with the billing details after I get that confirmation from you.

    Hi Liz,

    Yes, that is the domain in question, and yes I would like to pay that fee to renew. I reached out to Wild West Domains directly (since it is almost near impossible to get ahold of anyone from WordPress) and was on the phone with them for an hour and 45 minutes yesterday, but they could not help me because I need to renew THROUGH WordPress. (But have no option to do so, since I can’t anywhere in my dashboard)

    I have several tickets into WordPress but have not heard back from anyone, and I paid $48 to upgrade to a useless service just to send an email to their customer service.

    If you could please send me the bill and get this moving as quickly as possible, that would be great. Wild West Domains is extremely easy to reach as they have 24/7 customer service so it shouldn’t take that long to get ahold of them.

    Hi Christine,

    I reached out to Wild West Domains directly

    Wild West Domains is our domain provider but there is no need to contact them as we handle renewals for domain registered through WordPress.com.

    I have several tickets into WordPress but have not heard back from anyone

    I see one of our Happiness Engineers is helping you with this by email. They replied on Saturday 6th October and confirmed they are working on restoring madame-ostrich.com after the domain went into redemption. We will continue to follow up by email when there is more news :)
