Domain help

  I’m trying to use a domain through namecheap and connect it to my site. It looks like I have to pay for some plan to do that though. Help?

  Yes, that’s correct. If you want to use a custom domain, you must have any paid WordPress plan.

  Hi there,

  That is correct. You can have a free site on WordPress.com (many millions of site owners do just that) but to have a custom address for your site does require an upgrade.

  As well, if you don’t have a domain now, you can consider the yearly (rather than monthly) option for plans, which includes a free domain for the first year, as well as priority support for any site setup questions you have.
