Domain help

I renewed my domain with wordpress on August 11th, as it was due to expire 8/17. Now, I am trying to access my site and I get a message that says ‘Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.’ My site is hosted by InMotion and after live chatting with them, this is what they said:

    ————–
09:57:10 PM [Ed P] Looks like you would need to update your account with wordpress.com to activate your domain with them.
09:57:10 PM [Ed P] After about 30 minutes to 4 hours our DNS servers should update, then about 24 hours later after updating the DNS on your registrar, the rest of the Internet should recognize the change.
09:57:52 PM [Jennifer] what do you mean when you say I need to update my account? I renewed the domain with them about 5 or 6 days ago so i’m not really sure what else I need to do?
09:58:11 PM [Ed P] Still shows expired to me.
    ——————-
Is there something else I need to be doing?

    Thank you

Thank you, however, it looks like it’s not showing all of the work I have done since 2015. Did I somehow lose everything? :( I’ve been hosted with inmotion for a while and editing at the domain/admin page….

  • Got it, can you log in and change the domain’s settings so it points to your new provider?

I’m trying to, but it still says that my .com expired a day ago and it’s asking me to renew….

  • @jenlongo ah, our apologies. We’re working with the registrar to figure out what’s going on and fix it for you.

  • @jenlongo Thank you for waiting, your domain has been reinstated and should be working on your site now. If you’re still seeing an error message, please try clearing your browser cache:
