    Hi support,

    I think I fudged up. I created the domain name and loved it, but then when I upgraded to an annual plan, it asked me to create a NEW domain name (free for the first year) and I couldn’t figure out how to use the domain name that I’d just created.

    Is there anyway I could upgrade to the Premium plan and use the bebetterwithme.com domain name?

    It looks like you’ve already canceled bebetterwithme.com. Would you like to restore it? Or were you looking to connect a different domain, one you registered elsewhere?

    If you’d like to restore bebetterwithme.com, feel free to purchase any of our paid plans. Don’t register any new domain, just proceed with the free address. Once that is done, reply here, and we’ll restore the domain back (bear in mind we only have a few days to do that).

    I went over to bluehost and the domain was available there. I bought the domain and plan there, but it looks like the domain is now parked. I’m new to all of this, I don’t know what’s going on!

    Hi there,

    You maybe bought a hosting plan with Bluehost, but you definitely did not buy the domain, as it’s currently still with us.

    Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all.

    In this case, it will still be a few days until the domain gets removed from our system and deleted by the registry, and only at that point will it become possible to register it somewhere else again.

    If you’re able to wait a bit, I recommend you sit tight, and then you should be able to register the domain again, with Bluehost, around Tuesday or Wednesday next week, once it’s released.

    We don’t have a way to release it manually sooner than that, but we can still restore the domain to your WordPress.com account if you want. Then you’ll be able to point it to Bluehost’s servers, until it becomes eligible for transfer once you’ve owned it for at least 60 days. If you prefer this option, let me know and I can send you a link to pay for the domain again.

    This is a public support forum. Please don’t post sensitive information like partial credit card details here where anyone on the web can access it.

    I’ve removed the receipt details from your post above.

    Regardless of what that receipt says, it is completely impossible that you could have bought bebetterwithme.com from Bluehost, as that domain is currently registered and pending cancellation with us, and it won’t be possible to buy that domain anywhere else until the registry deletes and releases it in a few days’ time.

    As that receipt is from Bluehost, you’ll need to take this up with them to clarify what it is that you actually bought from them.
