Domain Help

Recently I joined wordpress and had my blog through wordpress free. Then I decided to get my own domain name. I thought I’d be able to transfer it. I signed up with blue host and learned I can’t transfer for 60 days which is fine since I could reroute it or point the nameserver to blue host. I tried renaming the nameservers through wordpress (this was about 24 hours ago). I tried to log in to wordpress through my domain but it keeps sending me back to wordpress site (which I don’t want to use as you can’t do as much with the blog). I tried getting help from Bluehost but they said I needed to contact the domain host (sorry if terminology is wrong). I did but they said it was actually owned by wordpress. What in the world am I supposed to do to get the login to wordpress to work on my domain and not redirect me to my oldblog at wordpress ???
