Domain Help
-
Hi,
Originally, pchc-mom.ca was attached to a blogger site. My superiors asked me to map the domain to the WordPress host, which I have done. However, it is not supposed to be public yet so I have put the visibility back to private. Is there any way traffic can be directed back to the original blogger site while the WordPress site is in progress?
Thank you so much!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You would do that through your domain registrar. Just change the nameservers to point back to your previous site.

Someone with WordPress helped me with changing the nameservers and CNAMES yesterday but an error message still shows when you try to access pchc-mom.ca. How long does it take for the switch to be made?

Can you double check that you have things set back up correctly on the Blogger end of things?

I don’t really understand that page which is why I was asking for help. And I don’t know what the WordPress people changed but in any case it’s still not working.

I can see that the domain is pointing back to blogger, which is why we see that google error page. So on that end of things, it is working correctly. If you disconnected things on the blogger end, you may need to set it back up again. I’m afraid that you will need to contact Blogger support for assistance on that as we do not have any access to anything on their system to troubleshoot.
Now, the other way you can go is to just log into your domain registrar and point the domain back to Blogger that way. The only reason to do it from WordPress.com is that you have your email MX records set up here. So I assume my colleague didn’t want to mess those up.

Ok I will try. It’s confusing because I keep getting the error page but when someone else tried accessing the domain from their computer they ended up being directed to the Blogger website so I am unsure if it’s working or not.

Let me know if you get it sorted out. I’m happy to do whatever I can here. But when it comes to Blogger, WordPress.com staff is somewhat limited in what we can accomplish.
