Hi there,
If your site is hosted on Shopify, I’m guessing you will need e-commerce. Depending on what you sell and how you plan to do it you will most likely need a Premium or Business plan. Premium plan offers the Simple Payments button and Business plan can use Store functionality or WooCommerce plugin.

You can’t export a Shopify store to a regular WordPress site, as you’re dealing with products, not posts and pages.
You’ll need a WordPress site with an ecommerce plugin, like WooCommerce, and then you’ll need a migration plugin specific to the ecommerce plugin you’re using, like this one to migrate Shopify to WooCommerce:

Using these plugins on WordPress.com will require our Business Plan.
Business plan can use Store functionality or WooCommerce plugin.
The “Store functionality” as you call it is WooCommerce. The interface at My Site ->Store is simply a way to interact with the WooCommerce plugin on a Business Plan site. It does not work with any other ecommerce system on WordPress.
