  I am worried if I move my domain hosting to wordpress, that my email hosting service’s connection to the domain, STRATO, will be interrupted or broken off.

  We support custom DNS on WordPress.com, so you can add all the MX and other records your email needs to continue working here with us.

  Create a new WordPress.com site, add a plan, and our domain mapping upgrade. Then first add the necessary DNS records to your domain before you switch the name servers to us. That way interruption to your email should be minimal.
