    I’m really confused about domains!

    I bought the domain fairlightmusical.co.uk through Ecohosting.
    I’ve built my website on WordPress, which automatically assigned the url fairlightmusical.wordpress.com
    How do I connect the two?
    I’ve paid for a redirect, which doesn’t seem to have worked.
    I’ve also paid for the ‘Starter’ package but it’s still not letting me do stuff.
    All the guides I can find talk in techno jargon that I don’t understand, or just link to guides or bots that don’t tell me what I need to know.
    I’m tearing my hair out!
    Anyone who can explain what to do in plain English will have my eternal gratitude.

    Purchasing the Starter plan was the correct move, as paid plans are necessary to connect a domain.
