    Can I get my domains hosted through WordPress.com, or do I need to also use an a private hosting company?

    Hi!

    I understand that it is up to you. You can either get a domain through wordpress.com or register/purchase it elsewhere and map it to your wordpress.com blog.

    Hi there,

    I think we just need to distinguish between hosting and domain registration.

    When you buy a domain from a company, that company is your domain registrar, but not necessarily your host. You host refers to whoever is giving you space on their servers for the files making up your site to be stored.

    Your domain, naturalorganicfamilies.com, used to be registered with WordPress.com, so we used to be your domain registrar. But that domain is now registered with Launchpad.com, making them your registrar.

    The site that appears at that domain is hosted by Hostgator – that’s where your domain’s name servers are pointing.

    I can see four sites connected to your account, and they’re all self-hosted (meaning not hosted on WordPress.com) sites connected here via the Jetpack plugin.

    With that in mind, exactly what is it you want to do?
