  Hi,
  I just started creating my new website on wordpress and bought a 36 months subscription.

  Unfortunately, I realized the domain name i choose was not ideal and decided to buy a new one.

  I would like to switch to my new domain using the wordpress subsription. Can this be done ?

  Hello Paul,

  If you bought your domain here at WordPress.com using the same account this is very easy to do. You will need to go to your domain settings on your dashboard. My Site(s) → Upgrades → Domains. Here you will see which domain is labeled as primary, and all the other domains you own.

  To change the primary domain, click on Change primary domain in the top right and then select the domain you wish to be primary.

  Hi @ptichapronrouj – It sounds like you may have purchased WordPress hosting elsewhere, along with a new custom domain.

  Generally speaking, custom domains cannot be edited or changed. If you do not like the domain you have purchased, check to see if you can get a refund for that purchase, and then purchase the new domain you would like to have.
