Domain in Private, Transfer unused Domain

    Hello! Is it possible to get an already taken, private wordpress address? It would be great if wordpress do not block addresses after deleting/seting private. I was searching for seinundleben.wordpress.com but its private from someone else. Is it possible to contact the owner to transfer it, and how? Thanks a Lot!

    Hi there,

    If a site is set to private it means someone still owns it. They have just chosen to not let anyone else see it. There is absolutely no way we can recycle a private site, as it is still an active site.

    Deleted sites are recycled after two years under certain circumstances. This happens automatically and we can’t manually release a site if you request it. More details here:

    We cannot give you the contact details of a site owner under any circumstances, as that would be a breach of our own privacy policy. If an address you want is set to private you can request an invitation from the site owner via the form that appears if you try to visit the site, but if they don’t invite or otherwise contact you there is nothing else you can do.
