Domain in Redemption Period

    Hello-

    My domain is in the redemption period…the domain was registered with WordPress.com, but I have moved the hosting to bluehost. I now need to renew the domain, but the option to renew does not exist on my wordpress.com account. All I can do is upgrade. Since I’m self hosted, I don’t need to upgrade, I’m just looking for the basic renewal. How can I accomplish this?

    thekitchentableceo.com expired on 2017-04-28 and is currently in the redemption period:

    Domain Expiration

    The good news is we can still try to recover the domain but an $80 redemption fee will need to paid in addition to the regular domain renewal costs ($18). If you agree to these costs I can start the process by sending a payment request.

    If you do not want to pay the fee, you can wait until the domain is released but there no guarantee you will be the first to register it.

    Please let me know what you would like to do as soon as you can.

    Thanks for confirming, I’ve sent a payment request to the email address on your account. Once that has been paid, I will contact our domain registrar.

    As you’ve seen we were able to recover the domain and I’ve added it back to your account.

    An email about renewal and expiry was successfully sent 2 months ago, to address on your Account Settings page:

    https://wordpress.com/me/account

    If you didn’t receive the email, it may have gone to your spam folder.
