Domain in redemption period and transfer prohibited

    Hello,

    I purchased my domain with WordPress last year in May but had to cancel it a few weeks ago. It is now in redemption period status and the client transfer is prohibited. Can you please help me unlock the redemption period and the client transfer prohibition? Many thanks

    Here are some information on the date purchases:

    Registered On: 2022-05-31

    Expires On: 2023-05-31

    Updated On: 2023-03-05

    Hello there,

    Many thanks for reaching out.

    In order to transfer a domain, it would need to be a live domain. It’s not possible to unlock that domain from a redemption period and instead it would need to be redeemed.

    In order to redeem the domain, the redemption fee of £80 would need to be settled along with the domain registration fee £11.

    Once redeemed, the domain would be subject to a 60 day ICANN imposed transfer lock, but in that time it’s https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/custom-dns/
