domain information privicy

  • Unknown's avatar

I want to start paying for my website. The only thing I am a concerned about my personal information. This is the first time I have set up a website professionally and I have herd that people with their own domain names can end up with their address becoming public information on sites such as Whoiswho. I also run a Youtube channel which will be linked to my professional website due to the nature of the work, there has been cases of youtube content creators getting their information leaked and getting harassed, this concerns me alot. Is my Domain information kept private from the internet and its potential troublemakers? Are there any steps that I can take to avoid this?

    Kind regards

    Emma

    hi Emma,

Someone asked a similar question. You will be happy to know that your domain will be registered with privacy protection by default.

    4. Whose details appear when you whois the domain? Can I set it up so no-one can find my address by whoising the domain?

The domain will be registered with privacy protection by default.

We offer private private registration by default but if you want to use it, please click the button that says “Add Privacy Protection” when purchasing the domain. We have some more information here:
