  why is the title on my domain Laurastrobelauthor.wordpress.com and not simply laurastrobelauthor.com?

  Every site comes with a free domain that includes .wordpres.com at the end of the URL, if the goal is to switch this to your own custom domain such as laurastrobelauthor.com you would need to register this domain if you haven’t done already by following the steps on this guide https://wordpress.com/support/domains/register-domain/#set-your-primary-domain
