Domain is not working right
-
I used to have a wordpress.com website which I upgraded and I named the domain downthepipe-wh.com after a few weeks I moved to a self hosted .org website. It would then sometimes send people to the .com website so I deleted it. The problem now persists and I need a way to solve it. Here is a screenshot of what it looks like when the address is redirecting to the wrong website http://i.imgur.com/mLGNSwI.jpg
Please help me fix this! Keep in mind its an on and off problem, it happens once and then a minute later it would be fine.

Your current WordPress.com blog address is http://downthepipewh.wordpress.com/ . Is this what you needed?
-
No. ok let me explain it again I now have a self hosted website downthepipe-wh.com it would regularly send me to the website that is hosted here on wordpress.com. Only I deleted the website hence the error when trying to reach the page. I can only assume that the domain is redirecting people to the wrong place and when I asked this questions on wordpress.org forums they told me to ask you guys.

I see. To point the domain you registered at WordPress.com to another server (hosting service), please follow the instructions here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/#changing-domain-name-serversNote you will need to obtain the name server values from your current host. You should be able to find them on their support documentation, or contact them and ask for the information. (Name servers may be referred as “nameservers” or “NS records” instead.)
It can take up to 72 hours before changes to the nameserver records are fully propagated.
Hope this helps – let us know if you have any more questions!

Ok but I cant access that window because I deleted the domain on WordPress.com. is there a way to recover it?
-
The domain is still registered under your account: https://downthepipewh.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
It seems the nameserver records were set to: NS100.WHBDNS.COM and NS101.WHBDNS.COM . I’ve set them again to see if this would trigger the domain to work properly.
These changes usually take 2 hours. However, it may take up to 48 hours for these changes to take effect. These time frames are estimates and not guaranteed.
I’ll keep you informed. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Can you please try clearing out your cache?
Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Firefox or Google Chrome?

It seems the nameservers that are set now are incorrect. What’s the name of your new host? Otherwise you can contact them to request the correct nameserver records. Let me know the addresses of the records and I’ll set them for you.
