Domain: is possible to switch back?

  I would like to know if i’ll decide to buy my own domain for wordpress.com am i allowed in the future to switch back to my xxxxx.wordpress.com?
  Everything (posts, pages etc..) will works again with the old free address?

  However when you fail to renew a domain mapping upgrade or remove it every link is broken, your blog authority is wiped out and the pagerank is gone. I think you ought to read this http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/04/02/do-i-need-a-domain/
  If you are not committed to having a domain and paying for mapping it every year then my advice is don’t purchase a domain name and a domain mapping upgrade.
