  • Hey,

An expired domain falls into a grace period for about 10 days to two weeks. During this time, you can easily renew your domain at the regular price. So that means if it has recently expired, you still do have a chance to renew your domain.

However, if your domain grace period has ended, it means that your domain has now entered the redemption period (Period length of which may vary). This means that the domain can still be renewed, but with a $80.00 redemption fee in addition to the normal renewal cost. (This is standard practice for domain registrars.)

Next option is to wait until the redemption period is over, the domain is usually then returned to the pool of available domain names and can be registered again on a first-come, first-served basis but with a risk of someone else purchasing it before you as it will be available publicly.

In future, I would suggest you to enable the auto-renew option so that you won’t face this problem again.

Please refer this support article for more details and instructions:

    Domain Expiration

    I hope this helped!

    Hi anthonproduction,

anthonproduction.com didn’t expire — I noticed you asked us to cancel and refund it back in January. Cancelling a domain means giving up ownership so it’s only something we recommend doing if it won’t be needed in the future.

The good news is, the domain is currently parked with us and can be restored. Do you want to continue using it as the custom domain for anthonproduction.wordpress.com or point it to Wix?

Just let me know and we can go from there.
