Domain issue

  Hi,
  I bought a domain only yesterday, but realised I will actually need a paid plan. I cancelled the domain, go a refund and when wanted to purchase a year plan my domain is still ”already mapped to a WordPress.com site.”
  I guess I need to wait for this domain to be free again but is there any way someone from support can speed it up? I need this domain available for me as soon as possible.

  Hi there,

  Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again here or somewhere else in future.

  Are you speaking of katieolejnik.com?

  At this point we can still restore that domain to your account, but I see you’ve already registered a different domain, katolejnik.com, using the free domain in your plan.

  If you want katieolejnik.com as well, I can send you a link to pay for it separately, and then restore it to your account. Let me know if we should start that process.

  I will actually stick with the domain I have right now, considered it matches my other social media names as well so I will leave it as it is.
