domain issue

  Hi,

  I would like to use the domain name activetranslations.wordpress.com.

  I cannot do so since this domain is already used.Yet, it seems that the blog which it corresponds to is not “active”.

  Is there any ways that I could ask the administrator of this blog to cancel the domain name so that I could use it?

  Contacting the owner and getting them to agree to a transfer is the only way you can do it. There is no guarantee they will reply though.

  I really don’t see a significantly functional difference though by adding the ‘s’ to what you already have.

  I would just like the name of our blog to match 100% with our Website (www.active-translations.com), that’s why the extra “s” is important to me.

  You’ve listed two different domains there. Have you tried it with the hyphen and the ‘s’ here? ( active-translations.wordpress.com )

  I’m not sure if WP will allow hyphens though.

  Map to a sub domain of your regular site – better SEO and then the base WordPress.COM blog does not matter
