Domain issue

  I bought a domain through wordpress.com and subsequently realized that I should be looking at self hosted wordpress.org. Cancelled the subscription for that domain (cichlidforever.com) and subscribed to the same domain at bluehost. I am unable to transfer the domain over as it is locked. What should I do? Really at a lost here.

  Hello,

  When a domain is registered, there is a 60 day lock on it. The following is from the support documentation here on wordpress.com:

  Note: It is only possible to transfer a domain 60 days after the registration date. This 60 day lock is required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and cannot be waived.
