Domain Issues

    Hi,

I used to use WordPress to host my website on http://www.jackbenjaminjames.com – I recently decided to move to Bandzoogle, purely because I am a musician and this host is more suited to my needs – I still use WordPress for my other site. I requested a few days ago to get the name servers changed to the following Bandzoogle ones:

    dns1.sitezoogle.com
    dns2.sitezoogle.com

This worked really well and one of the happiness engineers contacted me saying it had been done, and I could view the Bandzoogle website on the domain and it seemed to be working okay – I think it was still in the process of transferring at this stage. Then, I decided (foolishly) that I would delete the domain from my WordPress account, but as it was still in the process of transferring I believe I may have messed something up – I believe my name serves are now still pointing to WordPress, even though I have deleted the domain permanently from the account.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi –

I’ve emailed our domain partner requesting for jackbenjaminjames.com to be restored. Now we just have to wait until we hear back from them. Typically this takes 1-2 days. Once I have an update I’ll come back here to share the news.

  • Howdy –

I’m back with good news. jackbenjaminjames.com has been restored and is working again. You can’t delete the domain from your WordPress.com account. The domain needs to be registered in order for it to work. Take care!
