    My domain that I was purchasing through WordPress expired in Feb. of this year. Is it possible to buy it back? I can’t find a simple answer.

    Hi there,

    Your domain is currently in what is called the Redemption Period. This is the final phase of domain expiration where the registrar is preparing to delete the domain and releasing it so that anyone can buy it again. During the redemption period they can also try to sell the domain at auction, in which case it won’t be released again.

    At this point it might still be possible to get your domain back, but our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain at this point, in addition to the $18 to renew the domain for another year.

    If you agree to paying this fee, let me know and I’ll send you a link you can use for payment. Once we receive your payment we can contact the registrar to request the restoration of the domain.
