  Hi there,

  I have a domain name attached to my wordpress site, and I cannot figure out how to detach it from wordpress. I still own the domain but will be deleting it, and want to make sure people will now only use my free wordpress domain.

  What’s the domain name you’re referring to? I don’t see a domain registered or connected to your WordPress.com site.

  I purchased a domain years ago on godaddy and I pointed it to my wordpress blog…am I able to update this on wordpress?

  It’s worth noting that a new annual plan purchase includes a one-year free domain registration. You can use this to transfer your domain to WordPress.com, extending its expiry by a year.
