Domain Linked and the DNS Set and Still not working
-
I mapped the domain and set the DNS in godaddy, and even checked the validation in the following link:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-helper/
And I am still getting “The page isn’t redirecting properly”
Any ideas?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Nameservers Validated!
Congratulations! The nameservers appear to be set up correctly for francist.ca.Now here’s the issue:
Confirm Primary Blog Settings
You’ve set a different domain (FRANCIST.CA) as primary for francisillustration.wordpress.com. Although you can map more than one domain to your blog, only one can be primary. To read more about setting a primary domain, please see this documentation.

Is https://francisillustration.wordpress.com the underlying .wordpress.com blog that you are trying to map from to http://francist.ca/?
Do you already have a domain mapping upgrade to another domain URL on that same underlying https://francisillustration.wordpress.com blog?
I’m asking because each domain mapping upgrade is a separate upgrade.
-
Yes that is correct https://francisillustration.wordpress.com is the underlying .wordpress.com
And I’ve bought the mapping upgrade and it has been mapped as http://francist.ca/

Hi there! It can take up to 72 hours for domains to become fully active after mapping them. Let me know if your domain isn’t working by Thursday. :)

Hi Shawnajroberts,
Thanks for your reply. The domain was updated 7 days ago and still has yet to change.
I’ve contacted GoDaddy to see if it’s something on their end, but they just recommended to redo the process, so I did two days ago.
If you can help with this issue, I’d greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for the update! I think I was able to fix this. Can you check and let me know if you’re still having trouble?
-
Hi Shawnajroberts,
Whatever you did worked! and the domain is now working.
I have one more question, if I would like to change it to another domain instead of the one already mapped, is that possible?
Thanks
-
Sure! If you’d like to map both francist.ca and another domain, you’ll need a second Domain Mapping upgrade, which you can purchase here:
https://wordpress.com/domains/add/mapping/
Or if you just want a different address mapped, let me know and I can update your current Domain Mapping upgrade to use a different address.

Hi Shawnajroberts,
I run 2 websites with my WordPress account. latitudesmag.ca and francistremblayart.com. Is there a way to get 2 different authors, one for each with my same account?
Francis -
Hi Francis,
If you want two different authors (with, for example, two different author names) you’ll need to create two separate WordPress.com accounts for that.
If you want, you can have one WordPress.com account that’s an administrator for both websites (so you can manage all of your upgrades from just one account). Then, you can create a second WordPress.com account and invite that account as a user on the second website. That way, you can attribute content on the second website to that second author.

I like to make posts in Facebook to talk about my WordPress new entries. But the visual is blank when I copy the link in Facebook.
The only way to show something interesting is to copy a link from a post. I cannot link the front page of the WordPress blog without getting a blank visual. Is there a way to force show a logo like my «L» for Latitudes when linking my front page?
Thank you.

Hi Francis,
You can add a Blavatar (blog picture/icon) to your blog. That will encourage Facebook to use that icon when you share a link directly to your blog’s front page.
You can add that under Settings > General in WP Admin for each blog. For Latitudes that settings page is here:
https://latitudesmagazine.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

Now this:
How can I make the featured image to show in the email that announces a new post from Latitudes to my email subscribers?
The email shows all the images of the post but not the featured image.
(I do not know how to share a screenshot of the email for you to see.)
Thank you.

Hi Francis,
Featured images are used by your theme on your site itself, but they aren’t included in the emails that go out to your subscribers. Any images you want to include in those emails should be added to the body of your post.
