Domain linked – e-mails not working

  • Unknown's avatar

Once i linked my domain dsteo.com, my e-mail accounts linked with this domain seem to not be working anymore – i did click something about that but i’m not sure if i clicked the right response – i would like to resolve my e-mail issue.

    Hi there,

I just went and took a look at your mail settings. It looks like you have MX records which could conflict with each other. You’ve got one set which tries to send mail to your domain name, but messages will get lost because it’s missing the other half of the address. Then you also have an MX record for a company called syra.net.au, which may be your domain provider so could also be providing your email.

You will need to get from your email provider the correct MX records and then make sure those are the only MX records entered right here:

If you run in to any issues, let me know!

    hi,
i have gotten this information from my domain and e-mail provider and they told me to give you this information so you could tell me exactly what i need to do
    =========================
The name servers you need to set are:
    ns1.syrahost.com
    ns2.syrahost.com
If you are hosting your website with another provider and cannot update your name
servers, please contact your hosting provider and set the following records in your
    DNS:
    MX record
    dsteo.com –> mail.dsteo.com

    A record
    mail.dsteo.com –> 203.170.86.89

    Thanks

    Hi there,

I’ve actually gone ahead and made the adjustment that was necessary. You can check it out yourself by going here:

    https://dsteo.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains&action=dnsedit&domain=dsteo.com

You’ll need to wait a few hours for those changes to propagate but it should start working here soon!
