Domain locked with automattic and need to transfer ownership to godaddy
-
Hello! Getting this message:
‘The domain xxxxx.com is currently locked from transfer (Status clientTransferProhibited).
When you lookup the EPP Authorization code, you may also want to unlock the domain as well. This is not required at this stage of the transfer, but will be required before a transfer can take place.’When I log in to my wordpress account I don’t see any record of the domain being attached. I need to extend domain ownership and it was originally transferred from Godaddy to automaticc and not sure how to access or transfer back! Any help is much appreciated
WP.com: Unknown
Jetpack: Yes
Correct account: UnknownThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

Hey there @mikeauerbach , the domain is under another account. Can you log out, then login with the email address that gets renewal reminders? That should be the correct one. Then you can work through this process:
This guide explains how to transfer a domain registered with WordPress.com out to another provider (known as a registrar), such as GoDaddy or 1&1. Please note that your domain must be at least 60 days old before you can transfer it away. If it’s a new domain, you can change the name servers instead. Step One: Prepare the Domain TransferStep Two: Confirm the Transfer With Your New RegistraI noticed the domain is due to renew very soon, too. If that happens, you’ll have an extra year added. It will be included when you transfer the domain out.

Also, when you’re logged into that account, you can contact support directly by chat using this link: https://wordpress.com/help/contact

The email that I get the reminders from is the one I signed into using the email link button but it doesn’t show any products under the (email visible only to moderators and staff) account. Is it possibly linked to another somehow?

I can confirm that the domain you inquired about is registered at WordPress.com but is under a different account and not your @mikeauerbach login. If you do not recall how to log in to your other account you can fill out the form here to get assistance from our Account Recovery team: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
On that form you will be asked to provide a transaction ID for your purchase, which you can typically find on your credit card statement. More info on how to find that here: https://wordpress.com/support/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id
Once you are connected to the correct account we are happy to help you with managing your account. Thanks!
