domain lost

I had a domain with word press. I worked with a web developer to develop a new site on Square Space. I thought he had correctly transferred domain to square space but he didn’t, he mapped it. My word press site expired in January and my square space site continued to work correctly until last week. I think word press froze it and/or transferred ownership to Wild West domains. I am now a small business owner without a website and this will ruin my business if I can’t get it fixed asap. Square Space has been very responsive to my requests for help, but the problem cannot be fixed without WordPress help. I have tried calling (got through once and the person on the line put me on hold and never came back), other times no one answers. Not possible to directly email. If someone from WordPress could please respond and assist with figuring out best course of action I would greatly appreciate it.
