Domain Management

I am trying to merge two wordpress blogs. I have already imported all of the pages from the old into the new and just wanted to redirect those visiting the old url to the new url. I purchased the Redirect upgrade, and shortly after the new url stopped working.

I’m receiving a message saying that the page contains too many server redirects. The old site was redirected to a particular page of the new site, but it is only the home page that is currently inaccessible. If I type in the url of one of the other pages of the site directly, including the target of the redirect, I have no problem, and I can click any link so long as its not Home.

    Please advise.

    Hi there,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having these problems! Could you please let me know the URLs that you’re trying to go to (the originating site that should have the redirect on) and receiving errors and where you should be getting redirected to?

    Thank you very much!

Thanks for responding. It actually seems to be working now. I deactivated and then reactivated all of the plug-ins and then reinstated the upgrade and all seems to be well. Don’t know if it was a plug-in issue/update that happened to coincide with my redirect or what, but it all appears to be ok. Will come back if it crashes and burns again.
