Domain Management
-
I paid for jamesak.blog and am now being asked to pay a further £85 to map that domain? Why?
I just want access to my domain. How do I achieve that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You will need to set up Domain Mapping to use your domain with your WordPress.com site:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Domain Mapping is included with all of the WordPress.com Plans:

staff-ozmodiar – I’m capable of using the tools to map my domain – that’s not the problem. My issue is that I paid for the jamesak.blog domain and now I’m being asked to pay a further £85 to map it – is your understanding that I should be able to do this free of charge?
Also what tools have been provided to manage the .blog domains that WordPress have been advertising and selling?

Ahhh, I understand now. My apologies for missing the fact that it was a .blog domain.
So, it doesn’t look like you purchased that through your WordPress.com user account. Did you purchase it via get.blog? Or via another registrar (godaddy etc)?

Morning
Yes .blog domain purchased via get.blog as recommended via WordPress:
https://en.blog.wordpress.com/2016/11/21/blog-domains-are-now-available-to-everyone/
If there were additional costs to be borne, then should that not have been made explicit?
