Domain management
-
I have a domain registered at godaddy that I used for my blog with wordpress.com which is joeshadelgc.com. I want to use a different domain that I own at godaddy-joeshadelgeneralcontracting.com for my blog but also want joeshadelgc.com plus other domains I own to point to my blog at wordpress.com. What is the best way to do this with minimal to no additional costs.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Mapping an existing domain name requires to purchase the Domain Mapping upgrade. You can go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.
Please take a look at the following guide before going through the process.

kardotim,
I already did that for one of my domains. I want to use several other domains I have to point to the first domain. I would also like to change the main domain to http://www.joeshadelgeneralcontracting.com from http://www.joeshadelgc.com. -
kardotim,
I also am having an issue with a lot of text appearing at the bottom of each page that not only did I not put there but removed on Sunday. It does not appear on my mac but did appear on my friends pc. What the heck is that? I have never had that happen before. How do I permanently remove it?

If you map multiple domains to one WordPress.com they will all point to the domain that’s set as primary on this page.
What text are you exactly referring to? It might be that your friend has browser extensions enabled that adds something to the page. He might want to try a different browser instead.
Otherwise please send us a screenshot of the page where you’re seeing this.

Do I have to pay $13.00 per year for each domain name I point to my primary? This is a snapshot of what the page looked like before I used my friends pc to make the changes. As I mentioned the text does not show up on my mac. It seems to appear only on pc’s because I have been hearing from others who have pc’s of this same issue and again it does not show up on my mac.

That’s correct. Each domain mapping costs $13 a year.
The text below your post was part of the post content. It seems to be removed now. If they still see it, try clearing out your cache.
-
So I can’t use the other domains as subdomains and do the same thing without the added cost?
If you look at what is on the page it is my keyboard. That is not something happening from anything in my cache. What is causing that? As I mentioned I removed it on Sunday using a friends pc. It must have reappeared when I went in using my mac and deleted it again using another friends pc just late this morning.

You can create a CNAME record of the ‘www’ sub-domain at your current domain registrar and point it to your WordPress.com site. Or if the domain’s control panel allows it, you can manually redirection the whole domain to a different link.

I’ll contact godaddy about doing that. Thank you. I realized after I did this that I would like a different domain name to be used for my blog at wordpress.com. Can I switch my primary domain for a different domain name without incurring another mapping fee? I would use the current domain name as a sub-domain.

You can easily switch the primary domain on this page: https://joeshadelgeneralcontracting.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
