Domain map £84 not £11 – WHY?

    Hi,

    Bought a domain for my daughter for college and want to map it to her free wordpress account. Every time I try to follow your simple instructions I get directed to a bill for £84 instead of £11.

    What’s going so well for your profits? Sorry, what am I doing wrong?

    An upgraded plan is now required to map a domain you purchased elsewhere to a WordPress.com site. It doesn’t have to be the Premium plan though. If you upgrade to a Personal plan you’ll be given a domain credit in your account that you can use to map your domain. (Of course it would have been easier and cheaper just to buy a Personal plan here in the first place which would have included the option of a free custom domain).
