Domain Map (A photomanipulation of dying butterfly)

  I payed wordpress 10 dollars to map my wordpress blog “logiudice.wordpress.com” to a sub domain I “own bio.frescobiologico.com”.

  A strange thing happened. In the Option>Domain>logiudice.wordpress.com, beside the “Redirection to bio.frescobiologico.com” there is written : “A photomanipulation of dying butterfly”

  Two questions:

  1. wath does “A photomanipulation of dying butterfly” mean? is it a bug?

  2. I am expecting to be redirected to bio.frescobiologico.com each time someone writes logiudice.wordpress.com in the internet browser (like Internet explorer), but it does not happen.

  Please Help

  1. contact support -> http://wordpress.com/contact-support/
  2. It works both ways, i.e. whichever address I use, I always get to bio.frescobiologico.com (that’s the way it should be).

  Do you already know the italian wordpress.com forum? http://it.forums.wordpress.com

  Thanxs for the suggestions I worte tu the italian support.

  This morning after reading you post I cheecked out the redirection and it worked, I had a look on the Option>Domain and the link “A photomanipulation of dying butterfly”, I clicked on it (!!!!!!) and the redirection changed now there is written:

  Redirection to logiudice.wordpress.com (A photomanipulation of dying butterfly)

  that means even if i go to bio.frescobiologico.com i am redirected to logiudice.wordpress.com . It must be a BUG !!!!

  If you go to Options > Domains do you see anything that says put blog here after the function area? What it sounds like is “a photomanipulation of dying butterfly” has replaced the standard text but is doing the same thing. Have you tried clicking it again? That should change the redirection back. As for the phrase I’d guess it might be a fault in the language translation… as isadora said, best to contact staff about that; they’re the only ones who might know what’s going on.

  cjwriter, you got it! I just checked the italian translation and some moron simply inserted that sentence as a translation for “put blog here”. It’s because of such people, that we cannot anymore approve new translations, unfortunately.
