We have received your DNS update order for the domain BDSTUDENT.DK, unfortunately we have not been able to change the DNS of your domain because it is not configured in the servers. Consequently, the DNS do not respond in an authoritative way:
Please contact your hosting provider in order to fix that error, and let us know once the modifications have been done so that I can update the DNS for you. What can I do now? Please any bodu help me….
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m a little confused. If you have changed the domain name servers to point to WordPress then your host won’t control them. Did you send your domain provider any requests to change the domain configuration (for example MX records)? If you did then they are just telling you that they can’t do that for you anymore, you need to do it through the WordPress dashboard.

Mapping your domain name to a WordPress.com blog is a 2 or 3 step process.
1) the name servers need to be pointed to WordPress.com
2) then you need to do the upgrade for Domain Mapping at your blog while logged in. (WordPress.com does some error checking so the name servers need to go first)
3) and I am not sure exactly where this fits in the sequence but in some cases the Staff needs to make some sort of special record so a domain name will map properly, your “dk” extension might be one of those cases.
Contact the Staff for questions, either through your Dashboard or: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

It looks like we needed to add a zone record for your domain.
Please try changing the nameservers again.

staff-blorbo: For future reference, which top-level domains require a zone record? Or rather which ones don’t? (I know .com, .net and .org don’t).

Certain domains, such as .com.br and other non-US domains.
We really don’t have an exact list at this time.
Suffice to say, if your registrar gives you trouble when changing your nameservers, please contact us. :)
