Domain Mapping

  My domain mapping has expired in Feb. and I want to map it again for a year. The only available option is to pay the upgrade at $129 a year but I only need the mapping (which is supposed to be $18 a year)
  Is there a way to make it work or do I really need to get the upgrade?
