Hi –
You won’t ever be able to use a Plugin here at WordPress.com. Plugins are only used with WordPress.org.
Read more on the differences in WordPress.com and WordPress.org here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You can edit CSS on your site if you upgrade to Premium or Business plan.

https://store.wordpress.com/plans/business/Domain mapping is an annual charge of $13.

Ok. I’ll just rebuild the sub-domain I wanted from scratch. Question three:
When i try to export the existing 40 posts I have on my wordpress.com, only about a dozen are exported. I’ve checked the export file in excel and re-imported it into my existing wordpress.org site and found that only about a dozen files exist.
What support is available to help me with this transfer of info? Is there a fee? Why are all my files not exporting. I’d let them live on the wordpress.com site and domain map it but that means I cannot upload my custom theme, make absolute changes tot he CSS or use plug-ins.
I will need to extract my content from the .org.

Check to see if you are using the most recent version of your web browser here: http://browsehappy.com/ Sometimes this is a simple fix =)
