  I am trying to map this domain to another site provider. It says I must be the owner of the domain to make changes.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Thanks for the link, but that is only instructions for what I already know to do. When trying to add a cname or a record, it says that only the owner can modify the domain. I am an admin on the account for my company, do we need to track down the original purchaser to modify the records or is this an issue to address with the company that WordPress uses to purchase domains?

  Hi @bturconi , can you log in as the user who bought the upgrade?

  You can probably see that username under wordpress.com/people , or log out then log in using the email address that gets notices.
