Domain mapping

  Hello,

  I have a domain, which I have had for some time and have my email with this setup/directed to google work. I’m considering upgrading my package with wordpress and mapping the domain to this site..

  I’m anxious that this doesn’t affect my email forwarding at all, as even a temporary break in the functioning of my email account will be a massive headache. Can you confirm whether or not this is a factor?

  …also, if mapped, will the address bar show my domain or simply redirect to wordpress? (ie. would it should ‘mywebsite.com/examplepage’ or will it display ‘wordpress/……/examplepage’)?

  PS: I’m instantly more reluctant to do this as I seem to have no way of directly/confidentially contacting anyone?
