Domain Mapping

I am trying to map a domain I already own to my WordPress site. I did the same thing just last week and it cost $13 to map the domain. However, today, when I attempted to map my domain, it wouldn’t let me do it without upgrading to a $99 plan. How can I map my domain without upgrading?

Domains are no longer available for purchase individually. They are included with WordPress.com Premium. This change has been made as we work to offer the best combination of value and performance for users while still offering a completely free product for those who do not wish to purchase any upgrades.
A great way to go if you are not interested in WordPress.com Premium is to look into setting up a self-hosted WordPress.org site through a hosting provider such as Bluehost, GoDaddy, or Pressable.
