Domain mapping

Hello. I purchased a domain through google apps. I was under the impression all I had to do was pay 13 dollars a year to use that domain through wordpress. Now when I go to map domain, it is making me do one of the premium options. Which I do not want to do. Is there a way to just do domain only?

Domains are no longer available for purchase or mapping individually. They are included with WordPress.com Premium. This change has been made as we work to offer the best combination of value and performance for users while still offering a completely free product for those who do not wish to purchase any upgrades.
A great way to go if you are not interested in WordPress.com Premium is to look into setting up a self-hosted WordPress.org site through a hosting provider such as Bluehost, GoDaddy, or Pressable.
