  Hello,

  I tried upgrading my account but it is not possible because I am from India and .in is not available. So, if I purchase a domain from elsewhere and map it with wordpress, how do I go about creating an email? because I believe I do not get access to google apps if I do that.

  P.S: I will be getting only the domain and not the email id.

  Hi there,

  If you don’t mind using one of these domains then you have to register an .in domain elsewhere and add it to your WordPress.com site using Domain Mapping.

  Note that you will need a WordPress.com Premium or Business plan on your site in order to map a domain.

  I don't think you need a premium or business plan to do that. I have already mapped it once using domain mapping option. It cost me $13. Could you kindly check and get back.

  My query is if I map the domain can I create a email with zoho? That is if I don't have any email with my domain at all.. can I create a parent email with zoho ?

  From the official documentation:

  You will need a WordPress.com Premium or Business plan on your site in order to map a domain.

  This is a recent change so it might not apply to old WordPress.com users. That’s why you’re able to map a domain for $13.
