Domain Mapping

  I tried to map my GoDaddy domain to my WordPress account, where I was told by a colleague that it would be included in the free plan. Now it’s telling me that I have to purchase WordPress Premium. Is there something I’m missing here?

  You need a plan: Personal, Premium or Business:

  Hi,

  As @galois mentioned, you will need an upgraded WordPress.com account in order to map your domain from GoDaddy to WordPress.com.

  Each paid plan comes with a free domain credit you can use to either register a new domain or map one you already own.
