Domain Mapping

  Hi,

  I just realized that my domain mapping has expired. I would just like to have the domain mapping option I paid in the past for $17/year. now, i notice that you have 3 new plans. do I have to join those plans? All I need is the domain mapping for now as I have my site already built.

  Yes, WordPress now offers Domain Mapping Under the Plans, even a basic Personal Plan can be used to map your domain. Here are the details of the plans as well. WordPress Plans

  Hey pavanraheja,

  I already have a domain name, and I dont need another extra 3GB of memory yet. I only need the domain mapping for now. I dont want to pay more for options I don’t quite use. can I just purchase the Domain mapping only.

  Just to clarify, there are other attractions to upgrading to the Personal plan other than increased storage, like removal of all advertising from your site and direct Staff support by email and chat.

  As you mentioned that you had the individual domain mapping upgrade in the past, I’ve tagged this for Staff attention. They’ll let you know whether they can reinstate the old upgrade.

  @Janice : Only Domain mapping upgrade is not possible now, even the staff have confirmed, that in new accounts its possible only with Plans, https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/domain-mapping-1419?replies=3

  You will need to be using a minimal of Personal Plan to use any Custom Domain service, either a New Domain or to Map your Existing domain. As the thread is marked to staff, they will confirm you as well. Just incase you would like to get more details of the Plans on Personal this might be useful, to know the advantages https://wordpress.com/personal/

  Hi there,

  I was still able to restore the expired upgrade as it didn’t expire too long ago, but you have a limited time in which to renew it. If it is removed from your site again, we won’t be able to restore it a second time and you’ll need to purchase a plan to add it back.

  Please go to the Purchases page to renew it as soon as you can.

  Thanks for setting that up again. I’ve made the purchase, but the web address needs to be updated. The domain mapping is directing my old address a few years back. Can you correct it to the most recent one I’ve used.

  Okay, I’ve updated the mapping. Please make sure you renew it from the Purchases page as soon as possible – you only added payment details to the upgrade, but haven’t renewed it yet. If you click on the Mapping on the Purchases page you’ll see a Renew Now button to renew the purchase.
