Domain Mapping

  I want to map a subdomain I have to my blog. Your system will only allow me to do this by upgrading to your $99 plan. All I want to do is map my domain for $13. Why isn’t that option available?

  Hello Dylan,

  You don’t have to upgrade to our Business Plan for $99 in order to connect your external sub domain with your WordPress.com blog. You do need, however, sign up to one of our paid plans. Every paid plan comes with one domain credit, that let’s you either register a domain with WordPress.com or let’s you map an external domain respectively a sub domain. We only charge $13 for the domain mapping, when you’ve already used the domain credit, that came with the paid plan, and you want to map an additional (sub-)domain.
