Domain mapping

  I would like to add domain mapping to my wordpress site from a domain I already own. Before I go ahead with this I would like to know if wordpress uses framed url’s or whether you will still see the wordpress.com address in the url bar?

  Also when doing a search on google, will it appear as with the wordpress.com url under the google search listing or as my domain?

  What you visitors will see in their browser bar is the domain URL and not the underlying .WordPress.com blog URL that you are domain mapping form. Ditto when it comes to Google searches. Note that the footer credit links to WordPress.com and the theme designer will still appear and cannot be removed.
